The monitor is remarkable for its high contrast ratio — 100 million:1 which is able to ensure almost crystal-clear image even when it comes to very light and very dark scenes. However, considering the fact that the screen is matte, the monitor is not able to provide stunning brightness. Although it boasts 16.7 million display colors, ensuring a realistic image. The screen is equipped with an anti-glare technology which reduces distracting reflections. So, as you can see, the Acer G276HL specs make it a well-equipped model for a great viewing experience.
Being a LED-backlit monitor, it provides a significantly lighter and cooler picture and has a longer lifespan than CCFL backlighting, as well as lower power consumption. It’s also compliant with such environmental certifications as MPR II and Energy Star which makes this monitor an eco-friendly solution
The G276HL Acer has a response time of 6 ms, allowing you to avoid most syncing issues and providing smooth playback of movies and videos. The refresh rate is 60Hz. Design
The G276HL is slim, so it will fit in space-limited places. It’s made of thick, black plastic. The frame around the screen is fairly wide.
The monitor stands on an X-shaped stand (that can be easily removed if necessary) which is wide enough to ensure stability and reliable support, but still doesn’t take an excessive space on the desk. It allows tilting the monitor 5° forward and 20° back, but not up/down. The G276HL is wall-mountable (100 x 100mm VESA).
There are no control buttons on its body except for one, on/off Power button with an LED indicator. The VGA and DVI ports and headphones jack are located in a recessed panel on the right side of the monitor’s back panel
Conclusion
I would like to finish this Acer G276HL review by saying that, to my opinion, the current model is able to provide a decent multimedia experience. It incorporates those features that are needed for a high-quality picture, like Full HD resolution, high contrast ratio, and wide viewing angles. Naturally, it can’t offer something outstanding for the needs of gamers, photographers, or designers, but, as for everyday computing tasks, this model is definitely a satisfying one. The only thing I dislike about the G276HL is the absence of DisplayPort or HDMI port.
